Anand Prabhu Subramanian is a highly experienced professional with a strong background in research and product building in the areas of measurement, data analytics, and machine learning. With over 15 years of experience in the industry, Anand is passionate about turning intelligent computer systems into effective solutions for real-world problems. He strongly believes that next-generation computer systems are those that can learn and adapt rather than being programmed to do specific tasks. Currently, Anand is the Co-Founder and CEO of Infilect, a company specializing in deriving intelligence by parsing large-scale visual content such as photos and videos using proprietary deep learning and artificial intelligence technology. Infilect provides highly scalable automation and analytics solutions for the retail industry, helping top FMCG/CPG companies gain deep visibility into how their products are displayed and sold in retail outlets. Anand's expertise in computer vision and deep learning is at the core of Infilect's technology framework, parsing millions of rich visual content such as photos and videos and creating deep insights for customers. Prior to his current role, Anand worked as a Research Staff Member at IBM, where he focused on network analytics-based protocol development in the telecom domain. He also worked as a Research Intern at Thomson Paris Research Lab (Technicolor), where he performed a detailed measurement study to experimentally characterize the performance of multi-sector antennas with commodity 802.11 hardware in dense wireless deployments. Anand holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from Stony Brook University, where he also earned a Master of Science (M.S.) in Computer Science. He completed his Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Science and Engineering from the College of Engineering. Anand's technical expertise includes research scientist, deep learning, big data, ML, mobile, and software engineering. With 13.19 years of relevant experience, Anand is a highly skilled professional who is passionate about leveraging technology to solve real-world problems.
